About Frank Kent ReAuto
Here at Frank Kent ReAuto, we are proud to be a bold, new addition to the Frank Kent family of dealerships, offering fantastic vehicles to our friends and neighbors throughout northern and central Texas. Although we are focused on working hard to spearhead the ReAuto Revolution and change the way people view cars with blemished vehicle history reports, we are still dedicated to upholding the motto that has long been the hallmark of the Frank Kent Motor Company: Morals, values, and ethics over profit. So let us take a moment to dig into just what that means and how we have defined ourselves as the right dealership for you.
Frank Kent History
If you want to know where a business is going, simply look at where it has come from, and that will show you the direction it is heading. Here at Frank Kent ReAuto, while we are pushing forward with new ideas about how to best serve our customers, we also feel deeply rooted in the history of the Frank Kent name here in Texas. Plenty of people can sell a car or even start a dealership, but building a lasting legacy takes something special.
It all started more than 100 years ago in 1917 when Frank Kent organized and operated the GMC Truck Company of Fort Worth. While that might not have been the foundation of the Frank Kent Motor Company, it was the start of Frank Kent's life-long commitment to selling the best vehicles to the people of Fort Worth and the surrounding area. Mr. Kent continued to build relationships and establish himself here in Texas, and in 1935 he organized and operated the Frank Kent Motor Company, beginning a lasting tradition that continues to this day.
In the decades that followed, he obtained the Cadillac franchise and distributorship here in Texas and opened Frank Kent Cadillac in the 1950s. Although he passed away in 1987, Frank Kent was posthumously inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in Detroit, Michigan, in 1989 for his contributions to the auto industry, a rare honor for an operator of a dealership. This tells you the kind of lasting impact that he had as he served his customers.
In 1995, Wendy Kent Churchill, Frank Kent's granddaughter, became President of the Frank Kent Auto Group, maintaining the same commitment to selling the best vehicles with honesty and integrity that her grandfather had set so many years before. Ms. Churchill passed away in 2005, and her children Will and Corrie Churchill stepped in to oversee operations of the Frank Kent dealerships--ensuring the legacy of their great-grandfather would continue and keeping the Frank Kent Motor Company a family-operated business.
Frank Kent Legacy
When you are part of a name that has been in the auto industry for more than 100 years, you have a lot to live up to. The Frank Kent name has been a symbol of good business, treating our customers well, and being a beneficial part of the community for more than a century. This is not something we take lightly, and we work hard every single day to ensure that each of us at Frank Kent ReAuto lives up to this legacy and the traditions it represents.
The primary ways we live up to this legacy at Frank Kent ReAuto is with our overall mission in creating a market for ReAutos, and by following the motto that has guided us for so long: Morals, values, and ethics over profit. These are the defining aspects of the Frank Kent Legacy to us, and we constantly consider them when making new policies, talking with our employees, and working with our customers. We also carry this philosophy with us outside of work, too, as each of us works to be a kind and compassionate part of the community here in Texas.
Our Mission: The ReAuto Revolution
The whole reason for establishing ourselves as Frank Kent ReAuto is so we can continue to explore and fulfill our mission. As an established organization in the auto industry, we recognized a problem in selling used cars: often, a perfectly good vehicle with a minor blemish on its vehicle history report would be completely overlooked by customers. In fact, as we considered this problem more closely, we realized that a lot of salespeople would also pass by or ignore these vehicles due to something as small as an airbag deployment.
Since we carefully inspect all the vehicles we sell to ensure they are of the highest quality, we know that even our used models with a minor issue on their vehicle history report still run great and are a fantastic option. This led us to a simple conclusion: these vehicles needed their own chance to shine in an environment where customers that can appreciate what they offer can easily find them. And so, the ReAuto was born! We see these vehicles not as a liability or a problem, but as an opportunity for our customers to get a fantastic car that might have had a little bit of excitement in its past, at a great price.
Morals, Values, and Ethics Over Profit,
- Morals - Our morals are simple: do what is right. This is how every business should conduct itself, but too-often the "right thing" is ignored for what will make more money. The right thing is what is best for our customers, and it ends up being best for us because it means our customers know they can trust us.
- Values - Our values come down to putting the needs of our customers first. From choosing used models in great shape, pricing them fairly, and treating every customer with respect, all of these things and more make up the core of our values.
- Ethics - Our ethics go hand-in-hand with our morals: knowing what is right and doing it every single day. Being honest and up-front with our customers, providing you with the kind of treatment we would want if we were in your seat.
- Over Profit - All of these things come before profit for us at Frank Kent ReAuto. Of course, we want to succeed as a business, but never at the expense of doing what is right and treating our customers fairly. By upholding our values and conducting ourselves in an ethical manner, we will succeed, not by selling out our morals or doing anything to make a sale.
